PushSite was originally developed to automate the process of
keeping the files on my hosted website in sync with those on
my machine over a dial-up connection. It is written in Perl,
and provided as
free (GPL) software. It has been tested on Linux, HPUX and Microsoft
Windows95.
PushSite can detect changes to files held on the local system and
update a copy on a remote system via FTP. It can also detect changes
made directly to the remote site (basic
intrusion detection). Only the amended files are updated thereby conserving bandwidth.
This version, released on 20/1/2 has a number of bug fixes
and is recommended for all current PushSite users.
